Explorers
The Palm Beach Gardens Police Explorer program, chartered through the Boy Scouts of America, is for young men and women who have completed the eighth grade and are 14 years of age or are 15 years of age but have not reached their 21st birthday, and are interested in a career in law enforcement.
The Explorer program emphasizes community involvement, character development and leadership.
The Explorers receive training on a regular basis to familiarize them with the law enforcement career and to prepare for Explorer competitions against other law enforcement Explorer posts from around the State.
Law Enforcement Explorer posts help youth to gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities. For young men and women who are interested in careers in the field of law enforcement, Exploring offers experiential learning with lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of adolescent youth.
If you are interested in Police Exploring or would like additional information, contact the Post Adviser, Officer Tara Headman at (561) 799-4527.
